Orientation info: Herbie Rosen '12 and the Core Committee say hello
On Sunday, Aug. 22, the Brandeis community will welcome the university's newest students to campus. While the students' arrival is still several months away, the fall 2010 Orientation Core Committee is busy planning a comprehensive program of activities that will introduce them to the entire Brandeis experience. For more information, visit the orientation website. Below is a pre-arrival letter from coordinator Herbie Rosen '12 and his fellow core committee members:
Dear new students to the university,
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the beginning of your Brandeis experience. We are the 2010 Orientation Core Committee, made up of five students who are planning your New Student Orientation! As a team we have been working hard to ensure that you will have an exciting and memorable first week on campus. We know that you will enjoy a fantastic journey here at the university, and we can't wait to see you in August!
This year's orientation theme is "Shift into Drive." We are confident that you will be able to find that inner drive which inspires you to succeed; it is up to you to determine how you approach this transition. Whether you "shift" quickly or slowly, we and the Brandeis community are all here to make sure that you drive to success!
As a core committee, we do a lot of behind-the-scenes work, though we want to be able to establish a relationship with you and your class. So get to know us! Check out our profiles or find us on Facebook under Brandeis Orientation! We are also operating a blog, so be sure to check it out! If you would like to talk to one of us or have questions, feel free to contact us at 781-736-5074.
This August is going to be amazing! All of us are excited to introduce you to our wonderful school and the life-changing moments that will come with your journey. We can't wait to "Shift Into Drive" with you.
Have a fantastic summer and see you in a couple of months!
