Brandeis biography featured at JCC book fair

Winner of the National Jewish Book Award

The life of Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis will be featured at the JCC Boston Jewish Book Fair Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. as part of a program titled “Court Appeal.”

Melvin Urofsky’s book, “Louis D. Brandeis: A Life”, received the 2009 National Jewish Book Award. Urofsky delivered a videotaped talk on the Brandeis campus last fall, shortly after publication of his book.

Brandeis is one of five of the most distinguished Supreme Court justices whose lives will be explored at the event, which in addition to Brandeis biographer Urofsky, will feature author Noah Feldman’s book on Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The event is co-sponsored by Brandeis National Committee – Greater Boston Chapter.

The JCC is located at 333 Nahanton Street in Newton. To purchase $12 tickets or to view a schedule of festival events, go to the web site www.jccgb.org/bookfair. Questions may be directed to boxoffice@jccgb.org, (617) 965-5226 or (866) 811-4111.
