Where Learning and Friendship Thrive
We are a year-round community of intellectually curious adults, age 50 and above, who explore a liberal arts curriculum through study groups, seminars, lecture series and special presentations and events.
Why BOLLI?
- Our Faculty: World-class experts and teachers lead our seminars and lecture series
- Our Peer Involvement: Study groups are led by BOLLI members who bring a broad range of life experience and knowledge to enrich the exchange of ideas.
- Our Community: Members regularly organize special presentations and events including book discussions, theater and museum outings, poetry circles, photo exhibits and literary salons.

About BOLLI
BOLLI learning takes many different forms. Especially popular is our distinguished speaker series offered each fall and spring. In the winter and summer terms, members take in the seminars and lecture courses offered by expert Brandeis faculty.
All year long, BOLLI members enjoy play readings, book discussions, theatre parties, autobiographical reflections, literary salons, social events, lectures and so much more.
Benefits of Membership
BOLLI is a membership-based community, meaning that everyone in our courses, events, lectures, and more are members. With multiple membership options, there's something for everyone!
- Enrollment in two 10-week courses or the equivalent
- A variety of lunchtime presentations to stimulate and entertain while you enjoy BOLLI community at midday.
- Complimentary faculty-led lecture courses during the winter and summer terms.
and more...
“I was beginning to plan my retirement and I started by taking just one course. BOLLI led me to become very involved with the University itself. I’m now a member of the Brandeis National Committee and I’m a University Fellow. Even as a non-graduate, I attend many functions on campus.”
