How To Apply
Students may apply to the business major after completing a minimum of three full semesters at Brandeis (or other colleges for transfer students) and three introductory courses.
Application Checklist
The following checklist will help you apply to be a business major.
Who should apply?
Students who have completed at least:
- three full semesters at Brandeis (or other colleges, for transfer students)
- three entry-level courses with grades of C or better: ECON 2a (Survey of Economics) or Econ 10a (Introduction to Microeconomics), 6a (Financial Accounting), and BUS 10a (Functions of the Capitalist Enterprise).
How?
Complete the online application and upload:
- resume, MUST be approved by Hiatt Career Center,
this means that your resume is approved once it is marked as approved in B.hired by a counselor. You may see your resume approval status at any time by reviewing your B.hired "Your Hiatt Requirement Status" section in your profile.
- one-page essay (as outlined in the application)
Your transcript will be automatically sent to the admissions committee.
When?
May 1st to May 21st
Decision and Notification?
In June, Date: TBD.
Reapplication?
Students denied application to the major may apply on one more occasion or may complete the business minor.
