Ruby Macsai-Goren is junior majoring in Sociology on the Research Track with minors in Religious Studies and Peace, Conflict, and Coexistence Studies (PAX). On campus, Ruby is a Bystander Trainer, an Orientation Leader, and she works for the Office of Students and Enrollment and as a research assistant in Religious Studies. Ruby is planning on completing her PAX internship abroad in Sydney, Australia, where she hopes to explore advocacy for indigenous communities and the ethnic conflict in Australia at large. She is passionate about rectifying systemic oppression against individuals who sit at an intersection of different racial, ethnic, and religious identities through restorative justice and dialogue. Ruby loves being a PAX minor and is happy to talk about possible peace and conflict-related careers, PAX internship opportunities, or anything PAX-related. Feel free to contact her at rmacsaig@brandeis.edu.
