Matthew Boxer, MA, MS
Matthew Boxer is a research associate at the Cohen Center. He received a BA in Judaic Studies (Honors) and Sociology (Honors) from the State University of New York at Albany, an MA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, and an MS in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he is a PhD candidate in Sociology. His dissertation will examine the effects of Jewish community size on Jewish identity.
Matt previously worked on the Cohen Center's studies of Jewish summer camps and Synagogue 2000, and is a member of the research team analyzing Birthright Israel. In addition to his research on the American Jewish community, Matt also studies social psychology, race and ethnicity, and education, and has taught courses in criminal justice, American racial and ethnic minorities, the American Jewish community, and introductory Hebrew.
