Hospital Helpers

hospital coordinators

Hospital Helpers and its sub-program Veggie Buddies are programs that are targeted toward improving the health of the population. Our Hospital Helpers program serves as a liason between Brandeis volunteers and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. . We facilitate volunteer schedules and transportation to the hospital. There are numerous positions in a variety of hospital departments.
Our Veggie Buddies program is partnered with Healthy Waltham and our goal is to encourage healthy eating and exercise to students in Waltham Public Elementary Schools in hopes of decreasing the childhood obesity rates. Our volunteers during the students' lunch periods and act as role models, dress up in fruit and vegetable costumes, and talk to kids to motivate them to be healthy.
