Language Empowering Action Project (LEAP)
LEAP is a Waltham Group community service group focused on English language skills. We recognize the power of language and it’s ability to change people’s lives. LEAP provides opportunities to tutor non-English speaking adults in the Waltham community, either one-on-one or in-group settings. In addition to English classes, tutors give the opportunity for learners to experience American culture and live a little more comfortably through common cultural gestures. This program is open to all students and no language requirement is necessary to volunteer. The three community partners we associate with are English At Large, Latina Moms, and Prospect Hill. (More information below). To learn more information about this program, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Population Served: Waltham residents
Community Partners: Waltham Family School, Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JF&CS) and English At Large
