AI Purchase Requests
Individual Software Purchases
Please refer to your department, division, school and related procurement policies for the purchasing of individual technology software or licenses. Prior to purchasing any individual licenses, review software offerings on the ITS Software Website. Brandeis may deny software purchase requests if a product is already provided or if a comparable product already exists on campus.
The ITS AI Product Website provides information on specific AI services that are currently available to the Brandeis community.
Purchasing Campus-Wide or Division-Wide AI Software Licenses
If your department, division or school is interested in purchasing a large quantity of licenses for an AI-related product, please navigate to:
- The Academic Technology Advisory Committee website to make academic technology requests or;
- The Information Technology Advisory Committee website for administrative AI-related project implementation requests.

Data Security
Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Zoom AI are available to the Brandeis community and come with Enterprise Data Protection (EDP).
- EDP ensures that your data is not accessible outside of Brandeis as long as you are using one of these platforms with an @brandeis.edu account. This is the first line of defense to keep both your data and Brandeis owned data safe.
- This also ensures that your data isn’t being used to “train” AI models.
Note: Please be aware that platforms outside of those listed here—including many paid-versions such as ChatGTP Plus—do not offer this level of data security. This is true even if you use platform-specific settings to disable the "Improve the model for everyone" option in software like ChatGPT.
