Zoom AI Suite

Brandeis community members have access to Zoom's AI Companion. As long as you are using Zoom with an @brandeis.edu account, your data is kept secure and is not shared outside of your account. Please see below to learn how to access Zoom's AI Companion and to see what features are available. 

Accessing Zoom AI Features

Please visit the Zoom AI Companion ITS website for information on turning on individual features of Zoom AI. These features are not automatically turned on by Brandeis and require our community members to do so individually.

Zoom AI Features

Zoom is constantly adding new features to their set of AI tools. Please check back frequently or review options within your settings to turn new features on.

  • Zoom Data Security
    Zoom does not use or access any customer data to train Zoom's or its third-party AI models and does not allow employees to access or use customer content and data. Any information captured by Zoom AI is only available to your account and is typically removed after 30 days
  • AI Companion
    This is Zoom's AI chat features, similar to Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, but more centered around Zoom's other AI services than use as a general AI chat.
  • AI for Meetings

      Generate a summary and next steps of what was discussed in your meetings and share through email and Team Chat. 
    • In-Meeting Questions
      Quickly catch up and get clarity on what you missed during a meeting without interrupting it.

    Review cloud recordings faster through highlights, smart chapters, summaries, and next steps, and get analytics on key meeting and conversation factors.
    • Optical Character Reader
      Zoom AI will read content on your screen and translate to text for accessibility and for meeting summaries.

  • AI for Events
    • Smart Compose
      Write compelling event content when setting up an event including event description, session descriptions, speaker bios, lobby announcements, images, and more.
    • Image Generation
      Generate unique images to use in your event.
    • Email Compose
      Generate an email, subject lines, titles, and calls to action, using context from your Zoom Event description and/or providing a more specific prompt. - Requires connection to your Brandeis Gmail account.
    • Chat Compose
      Draft chat messages for your Lobby chat based on conversational context and what you want to say, as well as customize the tone and length.
  • AI for Documents
    • Content generation and revision
      Allow you to use AI to generate and revise content.
    • Sentence completion
      Quickly complete text by accepting suggestions as they appear in real-time as you type.
