Michael Feuer is Professor of Education and immediate past Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the George Washington University, a role he held for 15 years. He is past president of the National Academy of Education, nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, and elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and of the American Educational Research Association. Prior to joining GW in 2010, Feuer held executive roles at the National Academy of Sciences and the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment and had been on the faculty of Drexel University and Georgetown.
Feuer is the author of three books: Moderating the Debate: Rationality and the Promise of American Education (2006), The Rising Price of Objectivity: Philanthropy, Government, and the Future of Education Research (2016), both published by Harvard Education Press; and Can Schools Save Democracy? Civic Education and the Common Good (2023), published by Johns Hopkins University Press. In addition to his many academic articles and reports, Feuer’s essays, commentaries, book reviews, and poems have appeared in newspapers and magazines in the US and abroad. He hosts the education podcast EdFix and writes a Substack called Evidence Matters.
Feuer lived in Israel in the early 1970’s and has long been active in Jewish and Israel affairs. He currently chairs the Advisory Group on Evaluation and Strategy (AGES) for the Jewish Agency for Israel and is on the board of Hillel (GW). Feuer’s essays on Israel, Zionism, and the Holocaust have appeared in the Jewish Journal, the Jerusalem Post, Inside Higher Education, the Forward, Medium, Moment, Fathom (UK), and the Times of Israel.
Feuer received the BA in English from Queens College (CUNY), the MA in public management from the Wharton School, and the PhD in public policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
Bar Guzi is the Head of Educational Opportunities at Boundless. He holds a Ph.D. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and is an accomplished educator and scholar of Jewish thought, history, and culture. Bar has a diverse teaching portfolio including faculty positions at Yeshiva University, Wesleyan University, and Golda Och Academy. Bar has also developed and led cross-cultural programs that aim to strengthen connections between Israeli and American Jewish communities. At Boundless, he leads educational initiatives that deepen understanding of Israel and address antisemitism. Guided by an interdisciplinary approach and a commitment to public engagement, Bar encourages critical thinking and honest conversation, helping diverse audiences gain lasting insights that resonate beyond the classroom.
Hussein Aboubakr Mansour is an Egyptian-American intellectual specializing in modern intellectual history. His work focuses on Arab political thought, Arab intellectual history, and the globalization of antisemitism and revolutionary radicalism. Hussein previously served as an assistant professor of Hebrew language and culture at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. His writings have appeared in Commentary, Tablet, Mosaic, and the Athens Review of Books. Hussein is a sought-after commentator and speaker on issues of antisemitism and geopolitics in the Middle East. In 2022, he was awarded the Per Ahlmark Award by UN Watch for his advocacy for human rights, and in 2024, he was awarded the German Mercator Fellowship from the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien in Heidelberg. He is a senior research fellow at ISGAP, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy.
Izabella Tabarovsky is a scholar of Soviet antizionism and contemporary antisemitism. She is a Senior Fellow with the Z3 Institute for Jewish Priorities, a fellow with the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism; a fellow with the Elizabeth and Tony Comper Center for the Study of Antisemitism and Racism; and a contributing writer to Tablet.
