The Division of Creative Arts is a community of artists and scholars from the departments of Fine Arts, Music, and Theater Arts as well as representatives from the interdisciplinary program in Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation; the Film, Television, and Interactive Media Program; the Rose Art Museum; and the Office of the Arts.

We share the belief that art is a vital aspect of the human condition and an essential component of interdisciplinary learning. By uniting creative expression with academic inquiry, we educate our students to create and/or appreciate artistic creativity and to become engaged citizens who are prepared to contribute to a multicultural society.
