Coming this fall:
America and Its Jews at 250
August 28-December 2, 2026
On Zoom

This twice-weekly lecture series and study group probes the leading questions for Jews in America since the country’s inception, including issues facing American Jews today. Moving chronologically, it asks how Jews have understood America as a refuge, republic, covenant, marketplace, battleground, and moral project—and how, in return, Jews have shaped American law, religion, education, politics, gender norms, and global Jewish life.

The course will be taught by Brandeis faculty and by guest lecturers. The online discussion group will be facilitated by Dr. Dalia Wassner, director of Jews of the Americas, an initiative of  the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University.

Registration will open to BNC members in August. Register for as many lectures as you like.
