IN PERSON BOLLI MEMBER LED FOR MEMBERS REGISTRATION REQUIRED

BOLLI in Bloom: Throughout the summer, BOLLI Members invite other members to tour their home garden and learn about their gardening process. Come for gardening tips, beautiful views, and community.
On Thursday, July 16 at 4:00pm ET, Richard Laing will open up his garden to BOLLI Members.
From Richard:
My wife, Leueen and I have gardened wherever we have lived in Zimbabwe, England, Newton, France and now Waltham. Our gardens evolve as we learn which plants grow well and where they grow best. We have a live and let live policy with rabbits so we grow rabbit resistant plants on the ground and rabbit sensitive plants in raised beds, containers and baskets. So visitors will see a range of perennials, annuals often propagated from cuttings, vegetables, bulb plants like begonias, oriental lilies and canna lilies. In addition, I will demonstrate various gardening technologies including rain water catchment, irrigation systems, grow bags, raised beds, revolving composters and a heated wormery.
The garden is wheelchair or walker accessible and there will be no pets. Though geese, ducks, rabbits and chipmunks may be around.
The visit and demonstrations are planned from 4pm to 5.30pm and will be followed by cool soft drinks served in the back garden to give us all a chance to socialize.
Registration coming soon. The exact address will be sent to registrants prior to the event.
