Waltham Group
The Waltham Group is a network of student-run volunteer programs on a local, regional, and national scope. Together with members of the community and local organizations, the Waltham Group implements change through community development and empowerment. Through volunteering, education, and outreach Waltham Group’s mission is to ameliorate disparities in the community.
The Waltham Group fosters leadership skills, altruistic and logistical thinking, and meaningful experiences for our student leaders and volunteers. Hundreds of students volunteer each year through the Waltham Group, which serves as a center for service and advocacy.
Waltham Group Programs
Waltham Group programs run based on the Brandeis academic calendar. Most programs begin at the end of September and run through the end of November. Programs begin again starting the end of January and runs through the end of April. We follow most of the Waltham Public School breaks. Each program varies in their exact start and end dates, so please contact the specific program to find out individual timelines.
Our programs are at no charge to members of the local Waltham community. We strive to meet all needs and are constantly trying to grow and change. Please contact us with any questions or comments you have. We look forward to working with you soon!
