Registrar’s Office

Current and Proposed Actions
Compared to other offices in Academic Affairs, the Registrar’s Office primary function is as an administrative office though we serve all parts of the university: faculty, staff and students. The Registrar’s Office is the keeper of the academic record which means overseeing enrollments, registration, academic records, awarding of degrees and diplomas, course transfer, class and classroom scheduling, degree audits, final exams scheduling, grades, implementing and maintaining academic and university policies.
- As an office, we have participated in and committed to further participation in diversity training, specifically anti-racism training.
- We recognize that our staff is largely white, and we commit to diversifying our staff as staff openings occur.
- We commit to working with the Deans, particularly the Dean of Arts and Sciences, to allow for an earlier release of the final exam schedule.
- We commit to supporting the data needs of the University in order to better measure and understand why students are more likely to succeed in some academic programs than others.
