Brandeis International Business School

Spring 2022 Dean's Letter

Dear Brandeis International Business School Community,

The Spring 2022 semester is well underway. After two weeks of online learning in January, students and faculty are now back on campus for in-person instruction. I’m encouraged to see our building bustling with activity once again.

Our students continue to find career success. According to the latest statistics, 93 percent of our 2021 graduates have accepted employment. Starting U.S. salaries reported by recent graduates have also increased 28 percent since 2018. This success can be attributed to the talent and skills of our graduates, the strong job market and the efforts of our Career Coaches and Engagement staff at the Career Strategies and Engagement Center. Faculty and staff also continue to build productive relationships with employers through our innovative field projects program. This semester alone, 15 teams of students and faculty advisors kicked off new field projects with companies seeking solutions to real-world business problems.

We have several fantastic events scheduled this spring that I encourage you to attend:

Trends in Asset Management Conference

May 4-5

This hybrid event is sponsored by the International Business School’s Asset Management Council. Join the conference mailing list to be notified when registration opens.

In early February, the International Business School also cosponsored the fifth-annual DeisHacks, a 48-hour hackathon for social good. A record 157 student hackers contributed 29 projects supporting Waltham-area nonprofit organizations, proving once again that business is about more than just the bottom line — it’s about giving back to your community.

I wish you a successful spring! Thank you for all that you do in support of Brandeis International Business School.

Sincerely,Katy SignatureKathryn Graddy
