Co-curricular activities

From 1975-2017, students also participated in the Milender Seminar in Jewish Communal Leadership.

Co-Curricular Requirements

Hornstein student practice teamwork and leadership skills in the program's co-curricular activities.

Throughout your time at Hornstein, you will have the chance to practice teamwork and leadership skills by becoming involved in the planning and execution of a number of co-curricular activities. Some, such as the Milender Seminar, are designed to put you in contact with top leaders in the Jewish communal world. Others, such as orientation, commencement, and admissions, are designed to consolidate learned leadership skills and mark milestones in your Hornstein career.

Though committee membership is not a requirement, attendance is. We strongly encourage you to plan your schedule so as to take on a leadership role or membership on at least one committee/planning group per year. Many Hornstein students have counted their co-curricular involvement among the highlights of their Hornstein experience.
