Ruth Nessel Gollan Prize in Hebrew Language or Literature
This award is given to any Brandeis undergraduate student (including a graduating senior), or Brandeis graduate student, who has exhibited high scholastic achievement, completed at least one semester of Hebrew study and plans to enroll in either a summer, fall, or spring semester Hebrew program at an accredited university in Israel.
Through the generosity of the Ruth Nessel Gollan Memorial Fund, annual scholarship awards may be available for the supplemental study of Hebrew.
Eligibility
Any undergraduate or graduate student who has completed at least one semester of Hebrew at Brandeis University may be eligible for this stipend which will be put towards the cost of enrollment in a Hebrew program at an accredited university in Israel.
There the chosen student will pursue a program of study in Hebrew that focuses on the language and/or literature.
Application Process
Please include two letters of reference, one of which should be written by an instructor of Hebrew. Documents of acceptance from the university will be required.
