About the Rapaporte Summer Internship Grant

Established in 2004 by Dr. Renee Rapaporte, PhD, and the Rapaporte Foundation, this grant enables students to pursue an otherwise unpaid summer internship in an organization or project that serves the interests of women, girls or gender equity. Grants are awarded to undergraduate students in the spring of each year.

Eligibility

  • The internship must be with an organization, project or government office that serves the interests of women, girls or gender equity.
  • All Brandeis undergraduates who are under financial necessity to earn summer income are eligible to apply. Students must be returning to Brandeis the following year (with the exception of study abroad students). Students graduating in May/August 2024 are not eligible for this grant.
  • Students may not combine the Rapaporte with additional funding (e.g., Sorensen Fellowship, World of Work, etc.)
  • If you received a Rapaporte grant in the past, you are not eligible to receive a second summer of funding.

A limited number of grants are awarded up to $4,000 and are available for Summer 2024. The next application deadline is March 31, 2024.

Please contact the WGS Office with any questions about the grant.
