Art-making with SCRAM

August 20, 2020, 9 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Come hang out with SCRAM (the Student Committee for the Rose Art Museum) for a fun, drop-in art making session. Drawing inspiration from some of the works on view at the Rose Art Museum, members of SCRAM invite you to make a mood board collage that captures this moment in time as a new and very different semester begins at Brandeis.

No art experience necessary and all are welcome! You can collage with magazines, newspapers, printouts, markers, paint, or whatever else you have lying around. If you are in quarantine housing and would like additional materials we will arrange this for you. (Deadline for extra materials is August 15)

Members of SCRAM will be there to share works currently on view in Yesterday’s Tomorrow: Selections from the Rose Collection, 1933-2018, offer guidance on art making as well as talk about art, SCRAM, and the Rose. At the end of the session each collage will be incorporated into a SCRAM zine and made available to all participants!

This event will be hosted on Zoom. Registration required.

*Zoom login will be sent upon registration
Please contact scram@lists.brandeis.edu for questions or additional information. We hope to see you there!

This program is part of the DEIStancing Fall 2020 Program: On campus or at home, returning Brandeis students can connect and have fun virtually while in quarantine or preparing for the start of the semester.
Opportunities for those interested in the creative arts include art-making with SCRAM, an A Cappella AMA (Ask Me Anything), and a mini-workshop in Chinese paper cutting led by members of the Brandeis Drawing Club.
