SCRAM EVENT
Unwind between finals and join us at the Rose for an afternoon of zine-browsing!

Created in collaboration with several student groups on campus and presented alongside work from Brandeis Assistant Professor of Fine Arts Sonia Almeida’s zine-making workshop, the Student Committee for the Rose Art Museum (SCRAM) is excited to share a variety of student-generated zines in the front lobby of the museum.

Zines have roots in informal, underground publications that focus on social and political activism and have a long history as the medium of choice of artists and marginalized groups looking to amplify their voice in unconventional ways.

Visitors can browse through a diverse array of content that spotlight students’ needs and their visions for the future—inspired by works on view at the Rose Art Museum and the history of activism at Brandeis.

Separate registration for this event is not required; however, all museum guests must reserve a timed ticket in advance of their visit.

Zines created in Sonia Almedia's workshop were made possible by the support of the Brandeis Arts Council.
