Join the Rose Art Museum for a virtual tour of Noé Martínez: The Body Remembers led by Dr. Gannit Ankori, Henry and Lois Foster Director and Chief Curator of the Rose Art Museum, followed by a conversation with Noé Martínez and Circe Henestrosa, guest curator for Special Exhibitions and Head of the School of Fashion, LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, as they discuss Martínez’s multi-modal artistic practice which incorporates ethnography, performance, poetry, drawing, ceramic sculpture, and installation.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Noé Martínez (b. 1986 Michoacán, MX) is the Rose Art Museum's 2024 Perlmutter Artist-in-Residence. He lives and works in Mexico City, Mexico. Martínez is a visual artist and filmmaker who holds a degree from the La Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado (La Esmeralda) in Mexico City, Mexico.
