Making Time: Figure Drawing Workshop

Program March 17, 2024, 12 p.m.

Make time for creativity with live figure drawing at the Rose! Engage in an afternoon of close-looking and figurative expression.

Led by Brandeis Associate Professor of Fine Arts Alfredo Gisholt, this drawing session will provide materials, a live model, and a variety of poses to keep your creativity going. This in-person drawing session is geared toward adults of all ages.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Alfredo Gisholt was born in Mexico City. He attended the Academia de San Carlos and has a BFA from Florida International University and an MFA from Boston University. Gisholt has had solo exhibitions at CUE Foundation, NYC; Forma110 Gallery and Deborah Colton Gallery, Houston; University of Maine Museum of Art, Bangor; and Recinto Project Room, Mexico City. He has been featured in Beer with a Painter in Hyperallergic, Painter’s Table, and The Brooklyn Rail. He has exhibited in group shows at Park Place Gallery, NYC; Museo de Arte Popular, Mexico City; and Rose Art Museum, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, among others. Gisholt teaches at Brandeis University and RISD and has been a visiting artist at the Vermont Studio Center, University of Houston, Fashion Institute of Technology, and Boston University. He lives and works in Boston.
