Student Union

We are the Brandeis Student Union.

Not only are we the Undergraduate Student Government, but we are student advocates and community organizers as well. Representatives are both directly elected and appointed each year to serve on one of five main branches, each representing various constituencies: the Executive Board, the Allocations Board, the Senate, the Treasury, and the Judiciary.

The Union works hard each year to promote a safe, engaging, innovative, and equitable environment at Brandeis, while creating policies and initiatives meant to build community and improve everyone’s quality of life on and around our campus.

  • Undergraduate Constitution: The Brandeis Student Union Constitution is a collection of fundamental principles Union members must abide by during the tenure of their position.

  • Bylaws: The Brandeis Student Union Bylaws define the operations of the Union and are maintained by the Student Union Senate.

  • TreasuryThe Treasury is responsible for assisting club leaders to spend their allocated Student Activity Fee (SAF) funds while ensuring compliance with Allocations Board funding policy, University financial policies,  State and Federal laws.
  • Allocations BoardThe Allocations Board (A-board) is responsible for the governance,  distribution and auditing of the Student Activities Fee (SAF) funds through both annual marathon and supplementary funding.
  • Starting a New Student Organization: Learn the process to start a new organization at Brandeis through the Student Union Club Support Committee.
  • Student Leader Prize Policy: Student Leader Prizes provide student leaders affiliated with certain student organizations a monetary prize. These prizes are funds awarded for a student’s involvement and leadership on campus.
  • Community Enhancement and Emergency Fund (CEEF): CEEF serves as a source of emergency funding for student life on campus as well as provides funding for student-led initiatives that enhance the Brandeis community.
