Brandeis Sustainability Ambassadors at 2018 orientation.

Become a Brandeis Sustainability Ambassdor

Brandeis sustainability ambassadors are undergraduate leaders and peer educators with a passion for sustainability. The program was founded in 2018 by students, with funding from the Brandeis Sustainability Fund.

Each semester, ambassadors receive funding for a variety of sustainability initiatives. They also oversee the Green Club, Green Office and Green Room certification programs. These programs educate faculty, staff and students on how to create more sustainable offices, residence hall rooms and student club events, and confer certification on those who meet or exceed their goals. Through this process, they become experts in energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, composting and various green practices on campus.

In addition to leading the green certification programs, Brandeis sustainability ambassadors:

  • Incorporate sustainability into new-student orientation programming.
  • Help with green events on campus.
  • Meet weekly to plan educational events and support the Office of Sustainability.
  • Receive access to special events and activities through the Office of Sustainability.

Open positions are posted on Workday each fall.
