Winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Spring Awakening is based on the controversial 1891 play of the same title by Frank Wedekind.

Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences across the nation like no other musical in years.

Set in late-nineteenth century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of Human sexuality. In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score. Spring Awakening is about change. Change within yourself, change within others, and change within time.
