Brand New Music / New Music Brandeis

Brand New Music is a contemporary music concert series that showcases the work of Brandeis student, faculty, and alumni composers. It encompasses New Music Brandeis (NMB), which is programmed and managed by current Brandeis graduate student composers and features professional concerts of student works. It also includes the Undergraduate Composers’ Collective (UCC), which exclusively presents new work by undergraduates, performed by students and special guest artists.

Unless otherwise noted, all concerts are free and open to the public.

Spring 2017:

NEW MUSIC BRANDEIS: INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE (ICE)
Saturday, January 28, 8 p.m.
Members of the world-renowned trailblazing collective perform new works by Daniel Allas, Talia Amar, Richard Chowenhill, Gleb Kanasevich, James Praznik, and Brian Sears.

NEW MUSIC BRANDEIS: PRISM QUARTET
Sunday, January 29, 1 p.m.
One of America’s foremost chamber ensembles premieres new pieces from Victoria Cheah, Todd Kitchen, Emily Koh, Ernest Ling, Jeremy Rapaport-Stein, and Joseph Sowa.
