Hornstein Scholarships for Online Master's and Certificate Students 

Merit-Based Scholarships

Hornstein is pleased to offer generous merit-based scholarships to help support students in their academic and professional journey. Scholarship funding is limited, and students are encouraged to apply or enroll early for priority consideration.

Partnership Discounts

Employees of approved partner organizations may qualify for reduced tuition on Hornstein’s online MA or certificate programs. Those are: 

  • Avodah
  • Hillel International
  • Israel Policy Forum & IPF Atid
  • JCC Association of North America
  • Jewish Federations of North America
  • Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies
The Midcareer Fellowship (online or in-person)

Hornstein will award 25% in additional tuition subsidies to eligible MA applicants through the Midcareer Fellowship. 

Fellows will benefit from networking with other students and alumni across all participating universities, as well as additional professional development opportunities.

Who Should Apply: Students who have completed their undergraduate degree at least five years ago, have worked in the Jewish community for a minimum of three years, and who plan to remain working at a Jewish institution for a minimum of 15 hours per week throughout their course of study. Fellows are expected to complete the degree requirements within three academic years.

Other Sources of Scholarship Aid
Local Community Aid

Many Jewish communities in North America offer competitive, need-based aid, and/or interest-free loans to students pursuing graduate degrees. Below is a list of some of these scholarship and loan programs; students are encouraged to research their own home communities for others. Applications should be submitted directly to the awarding organization.

JVS Scholarship Loan Program offers interest free, need-based loans up to $5,000/year to Jewish residents of Metro-West New Jersey.

Tuition estimates are based on the current per-credit tuition rate and are inclusive of most materials. For Master's students these estimates also include the cost for room and board of the in-person intensive and a generous stipend for the Israel seminar. Tuition rates are subject to change.
