Andrew Stern was elected president of the Lawyers Clearinghouse, a pro bono legal services organization in Boston. He is a partner with Foley & Lardner and is a member of the firm’s real estate, construction and international practices, as well as its energy, hospitality, resort and golf, and health care industry teams.

Paul Trusten
was promoted to vice president of the U.S. Metric Association (USMA), a nonprofit, national organization founded in 1916 to advocate U.S. conversion to the metric system as the nation’s everyday measurement standard. He retains his duties as USMA’s public relations director. By day, he is a full-time pharmacist at Midland Memorial Hospital in Texas, where he has worked for 10 years.

Barbara Gline Pearlman
and her husband, Rob, have a son, Daniel, who is a junior majoring in physics at Vassar. Barbara’s sister Ellen ’69 and her husband, David Block ’68, have two married daughters. Barbara writes, “Everyone is healthy, happy and doing something constructive!”
