Panagiotis Bethanis was selected to the Boston Business Journal’s annual 40 Under 40 list of emerging business leaders in Greater Boston. The 36-year-old is the CEO of online data aggregator nSphere. By age 25, he had founded four companies, including a jewelry business he started as a Brandeis student.

Jacqueline Blatt Carman serves as a juvenile public defender. She is the mother of two children.

David Mark is a senior editor for Politico and Politico.com. He was formerly editor-in-chief of Campaigns & Elections magazine, which covers the business and trends of politics. David was previously a reporter for Congressional Quarterly and the Associated Press in Tallahassee, Fla. He also wrote the highly acclaimed “Going Dirty: The Art of Negative Campaigning” in 2006.

Alejandro Caminos established IPFC Group in 2008 with a focus on finance and sustainability in three main areas: government finance (local and sovereign), environmental finance and economic development.

Francyne Davis Jacobs and her husband, Kevin, have a new addition to their family. David Levi was born Nov. 10, 2010. Daughter Halle is thrilled to be a big sister!

was appointed to the board of directors for the Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE), a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable older people. He is a partner at Jackson Lewis, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms. “I am honored for the opportunity to serve on the CARIE board and look forward to advancing its important mission,” Alexander says. “There is much work to be done to ensure that the rights and interests of the elderly remain a priority within our community.”

Thomas McDermott was named account director for services at California-based Spigit, a leader in collective idea management software. He had been senior solutions consultant and sales manager at Imaginatik, where he worked with large global accounts on innovation strategy.
