Student Loan Exit Counseling
Exit counseling is a federal and institutional requirement for all student loan borrowers who are dropping below half-time status, leaving school or receiving a degree.
For Federal Loans (Stafford and Perkins), exit counseling is done online and requires that you have your FAFSA pin number to complete the process. These interactive counseling sessions will help you to understand the rights and responsibilities that come with your student loans.
If you cannot locate your pin number, you can request a duplicate be mailed or e-mailed to you at www.pin.ed.gov.
Federal Direct Stafford Loans
To begin your Federal Direct Stafford exit counseling session online, visit the National Student Loan Data System's website and select exit counseling at the top of the screen. The entire process takes about 20 minutes.
Federal Perkins Loans
To begin your online Federal Perkins exit counseling session online, go to Campus Partners My Campus Loan. You will have to create a profile on the site if you haven't already done so.
You will need your PIN for this site. If you are having difficulty with the Campus Partners My Campus Loan site, contact Campus Partners at 800-334-8609.
Brandeis Institutional Loan
(Brandeis Loan, Saval Loan, or Wien Loan)
If you have been awarded a Brandeis Institutional Loan (Brandeis Undergraduate Loan, Brandeis Graduate Loan, Saval Loan, or Wien Loan), you must do exit counseling in person.
If you have any questions or wish to schedule an in-person exit counseling session, contact the Office of Student Financial Services at 781-736-4451.
