Dr. Nussaibah Younis will reflect on the high level political mediation that she has been leading in Iraq over the last two years, asking how the tool of mediation can be most effectively used in today's conflict settings, and what challenges the method continues to pose.

Dr. Nussaibah Younis is a Senior Adviser at the European Institute of Peace and also an Associate Fellow at Chatham House. She founded and directs the Iraq Leadership Fellows Program at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, which trains Iraqi political and social activists in campaigning skills. Younis holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Durham (UK) and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
