  • Apply updates: enable automatic updates on your computer to keep your system secure and up-to-date.

  • Install and run anti-virus software: if your machine does not have anti-virus software, you must download and run McAfee which is available to the Brandeis community for free.  Anti-virus tools will protect your computer from viruses, malware, and unauthorized access.

• Accessing Email from Restricted Countries

  • Using the VPN will allow you to access to Brandeis email in restricted countries:

  • If this doesn't work, you can forward your Brandeis email to an address that is known to work such as @qq.com, @yahoo.com, and others.

• Latte Forums for Communications

  • Your instructors may opt to continue communications directly through Latte.  Latte will be available world-wide, regardless of restrictions to Google in some countries.
