ICNS Lightning Talks and Posters
Welcome to the 2020 virtual meeting of the International Cultural Neuroscience Society! We are impressed by the level of interest shown in this meeting, with nearly 200 people registered to attend. This meeting may represent one of the few ways which the COVID-19 pandemic is enhancing our ability to come together; as we are spread across the globe and based in different subareas of Neuroscience and Psychology, it is unlikely that we would find a location and conference that is convenient for so many of us to attend. Some attendees are using this meeting to introduce their classes or lab groups to research in Cultural Neuroscience, allowing us outreach that usually would not be possible. During the meeting, we encourage you to participate through the Slack channels to discuss the presentations as well as share your thoughts about the field and ideas about how to coordinate future interactions and events. Finally, I would like to thank Dani Schwartz for administrative support for the meeting and Joan Chiao for maintaining the ICNS organization and entrusting us with organizing this meeting.
Sincerely,
Angela Gutchess, on behalf of co-organizers Joshua Goh and Elizabeth Losin
