The Consortium for the Teaching of Hebrew Language and Culture is working on various platforms to transform Hebrew teaching and learning globally, exponentially increasing the number of Hebrew-proficient individuals. This is done through collaborating with member institutions to create rigorous academic programming for Hebrew teachers, asynchronous Hebrew classes, focus groups, and many other initiatives worldwide.
To establish a shared philosophy about Hebrew language acquisition, the Hebrew Consortium is also conducting research across sectors. In so doing, the Hebrew Consortium will demonstrate the vitality of Hebrew and its indispensable role in enhancing deep connection among speakers and with Jewish and Israeli culture.
Your donation will
Sponsor more scholarships for Hebrew Teachers pursuing an academic degree in Teaching Hebrew as a world language, as well as for individuals interested in taking college-level asynchronous Hebrew classes.
Support informal Hebrew education in over 32 summer camps nationwide, providing quality training for counselors, resulting in better Hebrew and culture teaching for hundreds of campers.
Enable the consortium to continue guiding and working with member institutions offering various graduate and undergraduate courses in Hebrew Language and Teaching Hebrew.
Increase the consortium's outreach and engagement with focus groups, research, fellowships, and more.
