Create Date: Heroines and Heroes in Art

Program August 20, 2023, 11 a.m.

Join us for a day of family-friendly fun at the Rose Art Museum with drop-in artmaking activities, lawn games, a close-looking tour, free ice cream by The Chillwagon, and a pop-up Family Storytime with our friends from the Waltham Library inspired by the exhibition Arghavan Khosravi: Black Rain.

Activities are geared toward children ages 5-10 and their families, but all ages are welcome!

Schedule

  • 11:00 AM — Museum Opens
  • 11:30 AM — Family Storytime with the Waltham Public Library in the Mildred S. Lee Gallery
  • 12:00–2:00 PM — Free ice cream courtesy of The Chillwagon.
  • 12:00–3:00 PM — Drop-in art activity: cardboard sculptures of heroines and heroes inspired by Arghavan Khosravi: Black Rain in the Mildred S. Lee Gallery
  • 1:00–3:00 PM — Family-friendly close looking tour of Arghavan Khosravi: Black Rain in the Lois Foster Wing
