Brandeis has two incredible student centers to serve our community, plus the iconic Cholmondeley's Coffee House, located in the Usen Castle.
The Carl and Ruth Shapiro Campus Center (SCC) is the center of campus for the university community—students, faculty, administration, alumni, and guests. The center opened in 2002, thanks to a generous contribution from Carl and Ruth Shapiro. It includes study spaces, a 248-seat theater designated specifically for undergraduate theater productions, a technology library, Einstein Bros. café, a television lounge, Dean of Students Offices, student club offices, and the university bookstore.
The Nathaniel H. and Suzanne Usdan Student Center complex, which opened in 1970, incorporates social, cultural and recreational facilities, as well as administrative services. It houses dining services, the mail center, a convenience store, a game room, event spaces, and various offices.
