Dames Making Games

The Women's Studies Research Center will present Leaps and Maneuvers, an exhibition of interactive video games created by members of Toronto collective Dames Making Games (DMG). With a mission to positively influence the gaming industry and improve inclusiveness within it, DMG gives game creators agency in the expression of their identities and provides a community for women to play, critique and create games.

Anita Sarkeesian is a well-known feminist video game critic. She won the 2014 Game Developers Choice Ambassador Award and has been covered by the NY Times, New Yorker, Wired and Businessweek.
