Brandeis and Beyond

A Taste of College Living

  • Live in an undergraduate college residence hall. Rooms are typical college-style, with 2-3 roommates living in a room on a hall with a shared bathroom.
  • Eat in the Brandeis cafeteria. Sherman Dining Hall has kosher and non-kosher cafeteria-style food available at all meals.
  • Have full access to the university’s athletic facilities, the library, the student center, and the Rose Art Museum.

Interested in Brandeis for college?

The Brandeis University Admissions Office offers a special college informational session for BIMA participants. Admissions officers also reserve a block of time during the summer for participants entering 12th grade to schedule interviews.

Interaction with Genesis

A description of your summer at BIMA would be incomplete without mention of Genesis, Brandeis University’s other summer program for high school students.

You will have opportunities to form additional friendships and expand your community by meeting and interacting with participants from Genesis. BIMA and Genesis participants live in the same residence halls (one male, one female), but live on separate floors.  Additionally, BIMA and Genesis share Shabbat meals and celebrations.
