MELA 2017: MASAKALI -- Dare to Fly
Time 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Door opens at 5:45 pm)
Location Levine Ballroom, Usdan Student Center
Masakali, a word of Hindi and Urdu origins, has colloquially come to represent a dove which soars to liberate those under oppression, spread the message of love and tolerance, and most importantly, give hope to those who need it most.
This year's Mela serves as a strong world-minded and citizen-minded recognition of the dreams that one has and the challenges and obstacles, both personal and systematic, that may make it hard for those dreams to become realized. Furthermore, as the Finale to 'I Am Global Week,' this year's Mela hopes to draw attention to the power of strength and resiliency, and the enthusiasm that one must possess in order to be willing to soar to new heights and to change the world in a positive way as they dare to fly.

Time 8:00 pm- 10:00 pm (Pre-concernt talk at 7:00 pm)
