The university makes available flexible reimbursement accounts for both dependent care and health care. Under the plan, employees may set aside a portion of their salary for dependent care or nonreimbursable medical expenses on a pretax basis (meaning federal, state and Social Security taxes will not be taken). The portion of the salary elected is placed into an account, and is then reimbursed as expenses are incurred.
