Alan Monchick writes, “Roberta and I have permanently relocated to our former vacation home in Tucson and are in the midst of some long overdue renovations to the place. It was great seeing everyone at our 45th Reunion, and I’m looking forward to our 50th.” Rebecca Pepkowitz-Gilstrop and her husband, Rabbi Gerry Gilstrop, attended her 45th Reunion in June. It was only the second time Rebecca had been back to campus since graduation. Among the old friends she enjoyed hanging out with were Richie Holstein ’72, her former roommate Susan Piela Saletnik, James “Ari” Montford ’74 and Albert Silliman ’74. She says she also enjoyed “interviewing the flock of students driving the fleet of golf carts around campus, and learning about new Brandeis majors as well as current trends in graduate education.” She invites all visitors to Baltimore or D.C. to contact her at kosherfood4u@yahoo.comToshizo (Tom) Watanabe, president of the Toshizo Watanabe Foundation, gave a $2 million gift to establish the Watanabe Culinary Cultural Center, an exhibition/learning space in Los Angeles.
