Computer Science at Brandeis
Emerging interdisciplinary fields. State-of-the-art research in a world-renowned university. Innovation and cutting-edge study with dedicated faculty, a few miles from Route 128, Boston’s technology corridor.
At Brandeis, computational linguistics students take advantage of the opportunities offered by a department small enough to provide interactive and engaging learning with professors who are leading scholars and researchers in their fields, yet large enough to offer top-rate educational and research opportunities—all within the sort of interdisciplinary collaboration that is so highly valued at Brandeis, and by future employers.
Brandeis’ computational linguists develop theoretically inspired models of linguistic behavior, and employ machine learning, statistical techniques, and finite-state and other rule-based methods to implement the algorithms for these models.
