"Green" Orientation picnic Aug. 23

Volunteers needed

Sunday, August 23
4:45 -7:15 p.m. (No need to work the entire time)

Around during orientation? Thanks to Sustainability Coordinator Janna Cohen-Rosenthal, Aramark and the Orientation team, the new student picnic will be even more environmentally sustainable this year. But they need volunteers to carry it through!

A note from Janna: "I need 4-5 volunteers who will help with recycling and composting. They will get a free and awesome t-shirt (made from recycled materials no less), free dinner, and be the "face" of environmental stuff for freshman on their first day."

First annual Move-in Market

Wednesday, August 26, 2-9 p.m.
Shapiro Campus Center Atrium

Contact: Andrew Mandel

From Andrew: " Are you an incoming first-year who still needs a fridge, microwave, or printer? Are you an upperclassperson who just moved into a mod or Ridgewood, and you don't have any kitchenware? Then come on down to Brandeis's first annual Move-in Market! The Move-in Market is a resale of items collected during Dump and Run at the end of last semester, most of which have only been lightly used. We have fridges, microwaves, silverware, pots and pans, plastic storage containers, clothes hangers, and all sorts of other items! Other prices are cheap, so come check it out! Make sure to come early, because the best items are going to sell fast! Each purchase you make at the Move-in Market enters you in a raffle to win a barely-used apple I-home!

The Move-in Market is still in need of volunteers! Anyone who would like to help out, especially with set-up and breakdown, please let us know. Volunteers receive a free Campus Sustainability T-shirt, as well as a special discount on resale items!
