bikes not bombs

Yesterday, Professor Laura Goldin’s Greening The Ivory class took a trip to Jamaica Plain, MA to check out the Bikes Not Bombs Hub. The organization reclaims thousands of bikes every year, shipping a majority of them overseas to encourage economic development in places like Ghana. Bikes Not Bombs (BNB) also creates programs locally and globally to provide sustainable transportation, bike-repair/construction training and jobs with bicycles. In addition, this incredible organization has countless youth programs that inspire and empower youths to make a sustainable and peaceful impact on their community.
