Updated: 2.5.24

Visitors

Visitors to the university who drive may procure a visitor parking pass at the main entrance information booth from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, Saturdays from 8 a.m-1 p.m during the school year. During all other hours, including weekends, summer and breaks, visitor passes may be obtained online or at the University Police Dispatch Center in Public Safety in the Stoneman Building.

Student guests who are staying overnight must register with University Police and obtain a temporary pass for their vehicle. Overnight passes may be obtained online or at the University Police Dispatch Center in the Stoneman Building.

Faculty, Staff, and Students

All faculty, staff, and students who operate or park a motor vehicle or motorcycle on the property of Brandeis University must obtain a parking permit before each academic school year. All students who bring a motor vehicle to campus, whether or not they operate it on campus, must register that vehicle with the Parking and Traffic Office. For details, visit Motor Vehicle Permits for more information.

Community Advisors (CAs)

Community Advisors can apply for a semester parking pass through the following form. Passes are limited to eight per semester, and there is no guarantee. Situations are based on need and first come.

Electric Vehicles, Where to Park

Recognizing that electric vehicles emit fewer emissions than almost all comparable gasoline cars, Brandeis has installed 10 electric vehicle charging stations at four parking lots on campus: Admissions, Athletics, Theater and Tower. For more information about billing and access, please visit the Office of Sustainability.

Vehicles wishing to utilize a charging station may do so in any of the available charging stations and must move their vehicle into an appropriate lot once the vehicle is charged. The Tower lot is restricted from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Automobile and Golf Cart Training

The Office of Parking and Traffic regulates and provides safety training for anyone driving a university-owned, leased, or rented vehicle or golf cart. This applies to all community members, including employees, even in cases where you may drive for one event or short duration. An employee or student wishing to drive on behalf of Brandeis must review the golf cart policy (pdf) and complete a driver's application and online testing.

Bicycle Registration Policy

The Office of Parking and Traffic regulates all bicycles on campus. Registration is free and helps Public Safety obtain owner information when recovering lost or stolen bicycles. Please see the attached policy.
