We are looking to Collaborate

We are always looking for new and creative ways to work with and enhance partnerships with campus departments and agencies and organizations in our community. Please email Lucas Malo to pursue these opportunities.

“Volunteer work has taught me and made a principle for me [to] do what you love and follow it. I am so happy with the path my life is on now and volunteer work led me to it. ~Ashley Lorinsky ‘16

"During my four years at Brandeis University, I have learned that my life of service does not have to be separate from other aspects of my life, but rather a part of how I carry myself." ~Beth He ‘16

“Brandeis has transformed me from mentee to mentor so that I have the privilege and honor to give back to Waltham. This university has given me the opportunity to invest myself in the families I grew up around, the families I went to school with, and the families I share parks and grocery stores with. Most importantly, Brandeis has allowed me to learn the importance of community service for youth, and especially for marginalized groups.” ~Yaznil Baez ‘16

“The experiences that I have had through the [Prospect Hill Kids’] club have been ones that I will take with me going forward in my medical career. In medicine, they often talk about relating to a diverse array of patients, but many doctors fall short, because they simply can’t understand how to relate to patients from completely different backgrounds. This program has given me the opportunity to see where these kids are from, how they live, to relate to them on a certain level, and have them confide in me as a responsible adult.” ~Olivia Devillers '16

“Waltham Group has shown me that there’s so much more to life than financial compensation. Seeing kids play and laugh will make my smile larger and heart warmer than any pay check I’ll ever get.” ~Daniel Kats ‘16

“Service allowed me to connect to someone with a completely different background and gave me an opportunity to learn something new I didn’t know about myself.” ~Maria Pachon ‘16

“My volunteer work has had a great impact on my values and career path. As a result of being committed to service in my community, I have grown a strong interest in health and hope to work for a hospital and even run my own clinic targeted specifically to low-income individuals and families with children with special needs. I also plan on becoming a strong advocate for Latina women in pursuing careers in Business and S.T.E.M. I plan to do this my sharing my personal experience in high schools and also being on the board of various Latino organizations to tap into those communities that usually do not have a voice in our society. Most importantly, I learned that as volunteers we play a big role in creating an impact in many people’s lives and in my particular situation, I feel more connected with my culture and heritage.” ~Liset Hernandez Valdivia ‘16
