Next Steps for Admitted Delegates
Congratulations on your admission to the Global Youth Summit on the Future of Medicine!
Students of your caliber must invest their Summer time wisely and we are excited to welcome you to this year’s delegation.
By attending the Summit, you will gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities created by the rapidly changing field of medicine and health. As you build a network of outstanding peers and potential mentors, we hope that you will be part of realizing the enormous potential of the medical and health fields for improving the world.
Please take a moment to review the information on this page to help guide you through the enrollment process.
We look forward to welcoming you to our campus in June.
Step 1: Secure your enrollment
It is essential that you secure your enrollment to the Summit as soon as possible. To guarantee your spot in the delegation, you must submit the enrollment deposit.
For details on payments, please review the Summit tuition and cancellation policy.
Step 2: Make Travel Arrangements
You are responsible for making travel arrangements to and from the Summit.
Summit staff members will be stationed to meet delegates arriving at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and the Westwood, Mass. Rt 128 Amtrak Terminal (RTE) from noon to 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Saturday, June 22, 2013.
Each delegate should schedule his/her flight or train to arrive between noon and 5 p.m., EDT. Students arriving within this timeframe will be shuttled to the Brandeis University campus.
For details on travel, please visit the Summit Travel and Logistics webpage.
Step 3: Fill out Travel and Medical Form
Once you submit your payment, you will receive further instructions on how to submit travel and medical information which are required for attending the Summit. A parent or legal guardian must fill out and confirm the medical information. Please allow 7 – 10 days after submitting payment, for receiving this additional information.
Step 4: Prepare for a Transformational Experience
Over the next few weeks, you and your parents will receive timely information on every aspect of the Summit and how to prepare for your journey to the Boston area. All correspondence will be sent via email to the addresses you submitted during the application process.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or need any help during the enrollment process, please email youthsummit@brandeis.edu or contact us at (800) 622-0622.
Applying for a Scholarship?
Our need-based scholarships will be awarded in early April. While we cannot secure your enrollment without a deposit, we do save a number of spaces for delegates seeking scholarships.
We have also posted a guide for you to consider developing a fundraising plan.
