Why did you choose Brandeis International Business School?

I chose the International Business School because of its practical curriculum and the ability to select a concentration within the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program. I enrolled in classes based on my interests, including a few courses outside the finance field that I still felt were relevant to my personal development.

How did the MSF program help you land your first job?

The MSF program taught me knowledge and skills that are part of my day-to-day job responsibilities, including financial modeling, accounting, data analytics and corporate finance. The Career Strategies and Engagement team at the International Business School is outstanding. The one-on-one sessions with my Career Coach were extremely valuable in preparing me for job interviews. There are also so many career-related events, which I used to build my network and learn more about the finance industry.

What were your favorite classes?

I work with financial data and it’s really important to know how to synthesize that information in a digestible format, and to understand the various accounting processes behind it. That’s why some of my favorite classes were Intermediate Accounting, Information Visualization and Big Data I. I now use what I learned every day!

What will you remember most about Brandeis?

The most memorable thing about my Brandeis experience is the community. I’ve genuinely made friends for life from all across the world. Everyone at the International Business School is so welcoming and happy to help with whatever you need. I also really enjoyed events like the Global Gala that allow students to showcase their unique cultures. If you come to Brandeis, you’ll be challenged in different ways but will grow so much in such a short period of time. I definitely recommend it.
